Jan. 30th-Feb. 10th activities

Grades 3-4th grade will be starting their snowshoeing unit and K-2 will be participating in a tumbling unit.  Our large school grounds area allows for some adventurous hikes on the snowshoes.  Loretta and Hildegard Kuse along with Bill and Mary Clark have allowed us the use of their connecting land so we can extend our trails and view new sites.  Students are expected to be able to put and keep their snowshoes on while on the hikes, understanding that it may be difficult we stress the importance of patience and effort.  Like my blog states, "attitude+motivation=success."
Our tumbling unit consists of gymnastic, adventure and fitness stations.  Students work at their own pace and skill level with small groups.  Students are expected to take turn, develop an understanding of differing levels of ability and help classmates with positive encouragement.

Until next time.  Stay busy, stay active and stay healthy
